Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Owner & Founder, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric medicine is our passion, and we spend much of our free time studying to stay up-to-date on current approaches. We’re dedicated to using the most effective methods available to help you.
You have the right to feel comfortable and informed when it comes to your mental health care. At BBH, we keep things straightforward, so you can confidently make decisions about your well-being.
Your well-being is our top priority. We always strive to promote your health in an ethically responsible way – even if it means you choose to work with someone else.
Our 50-minute initial session is dedicated to understanding your medical history, symptoms, and the course of your condition. We take the time to understand your goals and will determine if psychiatric medication could be beneficial for you.
We will develop a mental health treatment plan for you which may include medication or referral to another professional such as a talk therapist. If medication is prescribed you will be educated about benefits and risks, as well as given a timeline for symptom improvement and length of treatment.
We provide ongoing support to make sure the treatment plan is working and that you are making progress toward a happier, healthier life. Recommended follow-up frequency varies based on the severity of symptoms, but many clients check in only every few months.
Yes! We are in-network with the following plans: PacificSource, Moda, Providence, Blue Cross Blue Shield (NOTE: all states and forms of Blue Cross, Blue, or Blue Shield are accepted), HMA, ComPsych, Aetna, Meritain, First Choice, Samaritan, Optum, UnitedHealthcare (UHC), UMR, Surest, and All Savers.
We do not offer appointments exclusively for psychotherapy but do incorporate elements of common psychotherapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing into our practice. If you utilize insurance, you may see this reflected as a therapy billing code on your appointment explanation of benefits. We do not intend to fully supplant the services of a dedicated psychotherapist.
We provide mental health care for patients 18-65 years old.
